This Father's Day Give the Gift of Health & Fitness
Register your loved one in a Boot Camp and Save $25

Last year many of the ladies in our Women's Boot Camp came up with the wonderful idea of giving their husband a Boot Camp session
as a Father's Day gift.

We thought that this was such novel idea that we wanted to encourage others this year to do the same by offering a special $25 discount for any registrations given as a gift this Father's Day.

Just call us up and we will send you a lovely certificate that will make the perfect gift.

Please remember that we guarantee each persons' satisfaction so if your loved one decides that Outdoor Boot Camp is not for them we will gladly refund all fees paid.

So what do you have to loose but your lovee's love handles.

Fast Foods - How to Make Wiser Choices?

Now that summer have arrived many of us are busier than ever.
For many of us that means less time cooking at home and more eating fast food.

Not all fast foods are created equal and often the ‘better' choices are deceivingly not all that healthy. Many of the items are very high in fat and some have incredibly high sodium contents. There are plenty of sandwiches out there that have ½ of the daily requirement of sodium – in 1 sandwich!

But of course there are some healthier choices than others. And this is the point of this article – to help you make better decisions when you do need to pop in to a Wendy's, McDonalds, Subway and the like.

Below is a link that gives you a few of the healthier choices at each of the major fast foods. Unfortunately this link doesn't tell you how much saturated fat or sodium an item has but it is still a good guide and easy to use. Just print it out and keep it in your glove box in your car. Remember that any time you want to change a behavior you have to make it REALLY easy on yourself or else you won't do it. So have this information handy.

Here's the link: Quickie Fast Food Guide

Now here is another site that has TONS of information for you and it is quite handy if there is a particular fast food restaurant that you go to as it will list ALL of your choices there. You can sort the listing by any topic you like: Calories, % fat, saturated fat, cholesterol, etc.

If you click on ‘COMBO BUILDER' it will let you choose several items from one restaurant [like a cheeseburger, side salad, and a drink] and it will calculate the total nutritional information for your meal.

This site is of course something that you would need to use sitting at home. But if you do often go to one or two fast foods and you are curious what would be good for you to eat there then this is a great site.

Here is the link: Fat Calories & More at Fast Foods

Most importantly is to get into a habit of making better choices, becoming conscious of what you are eating [not just eating to eat], and having information EASILY available to you to make better choices.
